This film should advance Hewitt's career beyond the type of run of the mill Hollywood fare that she has based her movie career on so far. Sure, it might be about a family — a family that includes a deaf teenaged girl — fighting to protect itself from a plague of hideous monsters that hunt by sound. I went to see this movie not knowing if it would be a cheap Christian movie or an actual good movie worth my time. There are parts that get heavy because the father is very abusive and says some pretty mean things to Bart and his own wife.

What amused me most is that the main characters manage to get up late, have an important business meeting, race around London looking for each other, catch a train on the spur of the moment and climb an unspecified mountain all before 11am. Manav Kaul is totally wasted. But one day Arjun is killed and Naina is booked for his murder. This is an excellent family movie based on a true story. And that's not enough for a feature-length movie.
